It's fair to say that Time and Tide are a brewery that are garnering some well deserved attention. I've reviewed two of their beers so far; The Kraken coffee stout blew me away and a 'far from fresh' Calista IPA was very enjoyable.
This can of All In Jim is far fresher, having been part of my delivery last week from Hoptimism.
In the glass it certainly looks the part, with a hazy golden yellow colour, small crisp white head and a lively carbonation.
The nose is bursting with tropical fruit aromas, especially mango and guava.
On tasting the fruit aromas carry through with an initial hit, before dissipating quickly to leave hints of resinous pine followed by a lip smacking bitter finish.
Those flavours, coupled with the carbonation and light body mean that All In Jim is both refreshing and very easy drinking.
Compared to some on the market place, it's not the most exciting beer and it isn't going to set the world alight. But it is another example of the high quality brewing coming out of Time and Tide and I'm itching to try a few more of their beers, especially the Double Stout that I already have waiting in my stash!
