So my trio of Verdant reviews is complete. Hot on the heels of the very good High Level Kink pale ale and the world class Putty DIPA comes Even Sharks Need Water, the Falmouth based brewery's IPA.

Very much in the New England style, this IPA pours a hazy cloudy orange colour with a small white head, looking more like a fruit juice than a beer.

It has an intensely fruity aroma with mango, peach, passion fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice all dancing around your nostrils.

The mouth feel is as you'd hope from this style; medium bodied and incredibly soft.

The taste is amazing. The mango is pretty dominant, but there's definite sticky pine bubbling below the surface of the fruit flavours. There is very little bitterness but there is a dryness to the finish that leaves your tongue itching for more.

Even Sharks Need Water is packed with flavour but with it's incredible smoothness and lack of bitterness it is ridiculously easy drinking.

It's another great example of the top quality brewing coming out of Verdant.
